“ Every time I am west and yelp a diner and see Black Bear as an option I know instantly that it will be in my top 5 for comfort food destination. This time out I had the country fried steak meal with soup, salad, mashed potatoes and country gravy. This was plenty of food but I worked my way through it. It was no surprise that I also came back the following morning for breakfast. I love this place and can honestly say that having dined in several locations in multiple states I am an impressed with the consistency throughout locations. Nice job kitchen staff!! ”

“ Being from the east coast it has been difficult to find a diner that's not seen as a cafe. Well I can definitely say that falling upon this amazing place with amazing service and food to made it even better! My friend and I got own things as I LOVE egg Benedict's as I truly NEVER tasted the ones they made ever! It was super tasty!! As even the diner itself was so adorable it truly brought out a PA feeling when walking in such as the wooden panels and the forest like vibes made the place a home welcoming feeling! I will be going there again! ”
“ First time there, place was packed but staff was nice and friendly, customers didn't cause any ruckus so that was a plus! Once seated I was confused about where the money was and the waitress as if this was my first time I told her yes she was extremely helpful and gotten me through the newspaper that is the menu!!! I was trying to find a good drink and she recommended the Huckleberry lemonade and I'm glad she did because it was beyond delicious! She worked with me to get my order how I would like it and when I tell you everything was delicious perfectly cooked service was phenomenal I will definitely be going back there again!!! ”
“ Great place to meet friends and converse! Food was reasonably priced and the service fast and friendly. We had a large group and everyone walked away full and happy! ”
“ We are very familiar with Black Bear, as we have family in California and BB is abundant there. I was excited to see that they opened one here! We had an overall very good experience. The decor is everything we love about Black Bear. Our server was Leo, he was very kind & attentive. I ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes & green beans. Everything was very good. My son ordered the chicken fried steak breakfast and his was also very good. I did take a star off because the potatoes were not hot & the coffee was just mildly warm....cold after the first sip. I usually love the coffee at Black Bear, so that was a letdown. We will return when we are in town, next time for breakfast. I'm hoping the California Egg Benedict is as good here as in CA. ”
